The Train Shed aka Thomas Land!
Luddenham might seem like a long way to go for a miniature train, but how could we resist? Our last visit was nearly six months ago - it was such a fun day, but Emir was only just 'getting into' trains - now he is a Thomas expert!
Emir and Daddy had a turn on all the little trains: Percy, Gordon, James and Thomas. Gordon was the favourite - after all, he is the biggest and fastest! Note to self: Luddenham is not far from the Blue Mountains = freezing. We weren't prepared for the bitterly cold weather. Poor little Rafi ended up with chapped cheeks!
In the 'Annie' carriage.
Waiting for Thomas to leave Wellsworth Station.
'Down the hills and round the bends... Thomas and his friends!'
Mummy and Emir had a ride on the James train.
It looks deceptively sunny and warm in this photo. It was cold, cold, cold!!
Some foties from our earlier visit (Feb '12)...
Look how little Rafi is!

All aboard the bed train!
Did we tell you that Emir eats, sleeps and breathes trains? We were thinking of getting him a Thomas toddler bed - glad we didn't waste our money, it seems his bed is already a train!
Come on Rafi, let's go to Asquith (aka "Athquith").
Can't believe Emir is letting Rafi on his bed. Oh, that's right - it's a train!

Bumpy Road Play Centre
Kidz Connexion play centre is Emir's favourite place to hang out, grab
an icecream, cookie, juice... and not play a whole lot. It's so much
more fun when Niki, Kayla, Shell, Ma and Pa come to play too! Pity we only had 45mins before close time :(
He he! Aunty Shell has the same hair as me!
Silly Billy Silly Sausage Head! Emir showing Ma his 'going to the toilet' game. Classy.
Yep. Cheeky Monkeys.
Noooo Niki! It's my giant cookie. There isn't enough to share.
Rafi! Over here!
Emir and his girls.
Kayla... biddit?

Relax
Okay, so Mummy got a bit desperate with all this rain and put some daggy old music on. Emir loved it!
I gotta be cool,
relax,
get hip,
get on my tracks....
take a back seat,
hitch-hike,
take a long ride on my motorbike,
'til I'm ready...
crazy little thing called love!

Sydney Great Train Expo
Toot toot! Off we go! Central to Clyde and back again on a big black steam-train. It was a bit of a bumpy ride at times, but surprisingly very quiet. The kids didn't sit still for very long - Niki wanted to see the whole train, several times. Aunty Jane was a bit nervous walking between the carriages while the train was moving. It was pouring with rain outside - a miserable long weekend, but we had a lovely time on the train.
We got the posh seats! Our very own little room thing = berths?Booths? Whatever. Time to eat the posh jam sammies.
Niki and her Pa.
Rafi's very first train ride! He was smiling the whole time.
Emir behaved in a very first class manner.
Time to say goodbye :( Watch the BIG step.
What an impressive looking engine - nearly 100 years old. As we we were leaving it wheeshed and whistled - just like Thomas!
This black engine instantly became Emir's favourite toy. Dou Dou who?

Moh boys at 7mths
What a chubba bubba. Emir Adam Mohsen - 7mths, 10kgs.
'Where is the Green Sheep' was Emir's favourite book. Not quite sitting on his own.
Emir loved his bath time! Two teeth? I think the top two were already through too.
Wow - already holding the bottle! Emir really did love his food!
Rafi Zane Mohsen. Such a lil munchkin. Definitely not 10kgs! More like 8.5kgs.
Lots and lots of hair! Rafi's eyes are much darker than Emir's at the same age. Rafi a bit happier to give cuddles.
No teeth yet, but lots of smiles and giggles. Rafi not quite sitting yet either.
Rafi can roll really well, he is also starting to inch forward on his tummy to reach toys. Rafi loves noisy toys, but really just wants to play with whatever Emir has!

Friday Fun
Thanks Lorrie and Sara for inviting us along to Gymnastics ('gym-sticks') this morning. Emir loved crawling through the hoops and rolling under the rope. Morning tea at Bee Knees was great too! It was so sweet watching Sara and Emir sharing their milkshakes (cause really, who can decide between chocolate and strawberry?) Wish I took my camera along.
Back at home, Emir has really started to enjoy the peg board. Daddy made a pink donut - Emir pretended to eat it! Then he made Thomas and Percy 'surprised' faces. The preschool teacher in me got all excited - Emir is moving into the 'symbolic' stage of creative development! Never mind.
mmmm, yummy pretend donut!
surprised-face!
Don't forget about me Mummy.
